Former NSA SIGINT Director, LTG(R) Richard Zahner Joins Tachyum Government Corp.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., November 17, 2020 – Tachyum™ Inc. today announced that retired Army Lieutenant General. Richard Zahner has joined the advisory board of its newly created Tachyum Government Corporation, bringing extensive leadership experience and knowledge of intelligence operations that support the company’s efforts in providing strategic value to the military and defense communities.

LTG(R) Zahner is a career military intelligence officer with extensive leadership experience in intelligence operations at the Combatant Command, Operational Theater and National Security Agency levels. He also directed critical institutional modernization initiatives of both intelligence and cyber forces for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Department of the Army.

During a 36-year career, LTG(R) Zahner’s diverse assignments included service in Airborne, Special Operations, Special Mission and Heavy ground forces. He also served as the Director of Signals Intelligence, National Security Agency and as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense (Intelligence and War-fighting Support). Since retirement, LTG(R) Zahner has advised OSD (OUSDI) on cyber policy and Joint Intelligence Centers; served on a number of NSA Advisory Board panels and DARPA- sponsored innovation initiatives; and supported development of hybrid airship technology for persistent intelligence and Multi-Domain Operations support.
