He taught at the Technical University of Kosice, where he earned his PhD. Rado immigrated to the U.S., where he was a processor architect at Gizmo Technologies and at Toshiba on the PlayStation 2 team, before joining NVIDIA, where he was a contributing architect on their Tesla and Fermi GPUs. The Fermi chip was used by China to build the world’s fastest supercomputer, Tianhe-1A. Danilak cofounded SandForce, which was sold to LSI for $377M, and Skyera, acquired by HGST.
“Many would-be entrepreneurs have a good idea or a good product and think that it means that this automatically translates into their having created a good company,” said Danilak. “Creating, building, growing and eventually selling a company requires hard work, perseverance, good people around you and a bit of luck. I look forward to sharing with those at my Startup Grind chat the secrets to success so that they may have a leg up on the competition when entering the business world.”
