SAN JOSE, Calif., September 6, 2018 – Silicon Valley startup Tachyum Inc. today announced that Marian Gazdik, the Director of Startup Grind Europe, an entrepreneurship community powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, has joined the company’s Board of Advisors to help guide Tachyum’s success in transforming the landscape of intelligent data processing and big AI.
Gazdik is a tech investor, board advisor and startup mentor who oversees the operations of Startup Grind in Europe. Based in 120 countries, Startup Grind is the world’s largest organization for entrepreneurs, designed to educate, inspire and connect business leaders. Gazdik is also a co-founding partner at IPM Growth, a venture capital investment arm of global asset manager IPM, that invests in world-class technology companies from, or with a strong link to, Central and Eastern Europe.
He advises fast growing technology companies on scaling and global partnerships. Previously Marian has held various global marketing leadership positions at Orange, Reebok, and Werner & Mertz. In addition to Tachyum, Gazdik serves as an advisory board member at T-Mobile Czech Republic & Telekom Slovakia, as well as a startup mentor at Virgin Startup. He was featured in New Europe 100, a list of outstanding leaders in world-class innovation from Central and Eastern Europe, organized by the Financial Times, Google, Respublica and Visegrad Strategy.

Tachyum is achieving unprecedented compute performance and power efficiency for Data Center and AI applications with the introduction of its Prodigy Universal Processor Chip. Prodigy is the smallest and fastest general purpose, 64-bit processor, requiring 10x less power and reducing server cost by 3x. New proprietary software has made many blocks of hardware found in a typical processor redundant. Prodigy’s shorter wires, due to a smaller core with less transistors, translates into much greater speed for the processor. The ultra-low power Prodigy processor, will allow system integrators to build a 32 Exaflops AI supercomputer, beginning in the last half of 2020 to enable users to simulate, in real-time, human brain-sized Neural Networks beginning sooner rather than the previously projected 2028 timeframe.
