LAS VEGAS, Nevada, October 12, 2021 – Tachyum™ today announced the appointment of Pini Herman as its new Senior Director of Solutions Engineering. Herman will be based out of the company’s Santa Clara, California offices as part of an expansion effort of adding talented design engineers to work on state-of-the-art AI processors.
Herman has more than 20 years of hands-on technical and managerial experience, having successfully identified new product development opportunities and oversaw full-cycle projects that have driven millions of dollars in revenue. He comes to Tachyum from Cadence Design Systems, where he served as Hardware Engineering Architect. Herman previously held management positions at HGST, Skyera, AMCC/MCC Networks and Simulog. He graduated in Electrical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.
Herman will leverage his experience in a variety of emulation, prototyping, storage appliance, ethernet switches and reference designs to help further the architecture behind the company’s flagship solution, Prodigy, the world’s first universal processor. Prodigy has the potential to create unrivaled computational speed and vast energy saving capabilities for hyperscale, OEM, telecommunication, private cloud and government markets. Prodigy’s 10x lower processor core power consumption will dramatically cut carbon emissions associated with data center usage.
