As of 25th May 2018, the European Regulation 2016/679 (hereafter “GDPR”) comes into force. It is a wide-ranging regulation designed to protect the privacy of individuals in the European Union (“EU”) and give them control over how their personal data is processed, including how it is collected, stored and used.
In compliance with art. No.13 of European Regulation 2016/679 (hereafter “GDPR”), we provides you with the following information on the processing of personal data, how we use your personal data, and re-affirm our commitment to your privacy irrespective of whether or not you are based in the EU.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Tachyum s.r.o. with registered office in Karadžičova 7609/14, 821 08 Bratislava, Slovakia, organization identification number (IČO): 51 780 747, registration: Commercial Register of the District Court Bratislava I, Section: Sro, Insertion no.: 129461/B (hereinafter referred to as “TACHYUM”).
2. Purpose of the processing, legal basis and terms of preservation
The personal contact data (name, email address and company name) you provided through the website form are available in order to respond to your request, e.g. your subscription at TACHYUM’s promotional newsletter, for sending communications and promotional newsletters relating to TACHYUM and / or notification of events. The legal basis for these processing operations is our legitimate interest, which is the promotion of our activities and services. Your subscription is optional and revocable at any time. The data will be retained until you request to scind the subscription given.
If we have had or continue to have an existing business relationship with you, we may retain your personal data for operational processing and administration purposes in order to carry out any of our obligations under that business relationship, and also in case we wish to contact you about future business opportunities that might be of interest to you.
If you have been employed by TACHYUM, or have submitted your personal data for potential employment at TACHYUM, we may retain your personal data on file in order to contact you in case any future employment opportunities at TACHYUM might be of interest to you.
Your personal data will be processed by employees of TACHYUM who have received adequate operating instructions and who have been expressly authorized to process. Your data may be disclosed to individuals, independent data controllers such as authorities and supervisory and control bodies and, in general, subjects, public or private, entitled to request / receive data. Your personal data may be processed by TACHYUM’s service providers, such as our administrators and auditors, may in the course of providing services to TACHYUM be required to come into contact with your personal data, only for a legitimate interest (e.g. to carry out their service obligations to TACHYUM), and are bound by strict terms of confidentiality under their contract with TACHYUM. TACHYUM ensures that all of its service providers are professionally accredited where appropriate.
3. Our obligations and promises to you:
We will never sell, transfer or allow third parties (other than TACHYUM’s service providers) to make use of your personal data without your explicit prior consent.
In the case of TACHYUM’s service providers, we will never permit them to make use of your personal data other than as required to provide services to TACHYUM, and under strict terms of confidentiality.
We will take steps to ensure any data we hold on you is kept safely and securely, and is only available to those within TACHYUM that have a legitimate interest to have access your personal data.
If you wish to know what personal data we hold on you, you can do so at any time by emailing , and we must respond to you within one month – although we shall endeavour to respond to your request much sooner. If your request is complex or you make multiple requests, it may take longer for us to respond to you in which case we will let you know in advance.
If you wish us to “forget” you, and delete all personal data that we retain on you from our files and systems, you can request this by emailing and we shall do so provided that we do not have a legal or regulatory obligation to maintain your personal data. If for whatever reason we cannot delete your personal data, we will let you know why and what other options you might have available to you.
4. Further information on the GDPR and your rights:
In addition to the above you can ask TACHYUM for the correction of inaccurate data, the integration of incomplete data, the limitation of processing in the cases provided by art. 18 GDPR, as well as the opposition pursuant to art. 21 GDPR, for reasons related to their particular situation, in the hypothesis of treatment based on the legitimate interest of TACHYUM.
At any time, you have right to make a complaint with the GDPR apply other means of protection provided by applicable law.
